Could you imagine getting up in front of an audience that is completely packed with people who have their full attention on you? It is perhaps one of the most common phobias, but it is something that some people do on a regular basis. In fact, there are many shows on television today that give people the opportunity to get in front of a local audience as well as a worldwide audience. That is the case with the new talent shows and this performance, on Ireland’s Got Talent, is the biggest surprise we’ve seen yet.
It started when Stephen Barry took the stage. You could tell that he was nervous and perhaps he was second-guessing about getting up on the stage in the first place. Once he opened his mouth and began singing, however, you could tell that his talent really took over. He not only sang with his voice, he sang with his heart and when you hear him performing, it is going to leave an impression on you that will last for a very long time.
Not only did Stephen sing with his heart, he also took the hearts of the entire audience along for a ride. It wasn’t a matter of just the beauty of his voice, it was also the power and his courage for overcoming his fears and getting up in front of the audience.
The bravery of this young man is inspiring. He did something that most people would never do, not even for $1 million. He overcame his fears, took the stage and put on a performance that is going to go down in history as one of the greatest to ever be on any talent show, anywhere.
It isn’t only the audience who was completely taken by his performance. the judges also found themselves grabbing hands and swaying back and forth as the emotion from his voice completely overwhelmed them. It is a touching scene and one that you are going to truly appreciate. There is no doubt in my mind that you will listen to this many times, and it will only get better as you listen to it.
When the audience saw Stephen walking across the stage, they could tell that he was a very nervous individual. When they heard him singing, however, they were overcome by the event that they were witnessing. He took a risk on that day but it is a risk that we can all treasure forever.
